Youth Religious Education

We celebrated graduation for the nine preschool students on Monday, May 21. Thanks to the great teaching and care of Mrs. Sue Gagliano and Mrs. Kathy Speth, the students are well prepared for their next step in education.

Unfortunately, we have had only a few inquiries and only one confirmed registration for next year. This is not enough to ensure a quality preschool experience. It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of St. Justin Martyr Preschool.

The St. Justin Martyr Parish School of Religion (PSR) is at the service of parents, assisting them with the important task of teaching the Catholic Faith to their children who attend school in the public system.

The goal of PSR is to form children as disciples of Jesus by developing their understanding of Christian doctrine, encouraging a Christian moral life, inviting worship and prayer in Catholic liturgy and orienting them to service.

Classes for grades 1-8 are held on Monday nights during the school year from 7:00-8:15pm.

The teaching staff is comprised of adult volunteers who are called to share their faith with the youngsters of the SJM parish community.   We are extremely blessed with this dedicated group of parishioners, many of whom have been sharing their time and faith for an impressive number of  years.

This is the 9th grade PSR program. This program is for all public school 9th graders. This is a fun-filled learning experience deepening the understanding of our faith not in a classroom setting. This is a pre-requisite for the Confirmation Program if you do not attend a Catholic high school. We are always looking for catechists to be part of this program – open to adult Catholics VIRTUS trained and in full communion with the Church. No experience necessary.
